New servers based on Russian microprocessor Elbrus has been presented

Russian Automatics Concern a part of the state corporation Rostec has presented two new servers based on microprocessors Elbrus-8C. One of them is optimized for applications, the other - for highly loaded projects.

Both are equipped with four processors, support up to 256 GB of RAM with the possibility of error correction, are built in 2U case and can work on Russian operating systems: Elbrus Linux, Alt, Astra Linux Leningrad, Lotus, Rosa, Neutrino-E. Thanks to it full localization and information security is provided.

The database server is designed to work with PostgreSQL, Postgres Pro, MySQL and supports hardware RAID controller. To expand the amount of stored data, the novelty can be installed up to 18 drives 2.5 inches of SAS / SATA in front of the hot-swappable and two 2.5-inch SATA bays inside the case.

The second novelty - Elbrus 842/6-01 - provides installation of up to 6 3.5-inch SAS / SATA drives in the front with a hot-swappable. According to the manufacturers, it is a universal solution with support for open source software.
