The average check for online purchases from Russians during Black Friday was about 1 thousand rubles

This year, during the so-called "Black Friday", the average online purchase receipt decreased among Russians. The drop, according to TASS, was 14 percent compared to the day of sales in 2021. In absolute terms, the check is about 1 thousand rubles.

Especially the demand has fallen on education and furniture, but buyers still do not refuse clothes, cosmetics and jewelry.

"At the same time, the number of payments increased by 41 percent, and buyers — by 32 percent," the agency clarifies.

A study of the payment acceptance service of the fintech company Humopeu Yukassa says that the total number of payments in domestic online stores increased by 41 percent, and turnover by 22 percent, compared with sales last year.

"There are 32 percent more payers. This is a new record for the last six years, but the average check has decreased to 1,050 rubles," analysts who studied tens of millions of transactions for November 26-28 last year and compared them with payments on November 25-27 note.
