Fursenko called the results of the winners of the President's Prize for young scientists brilliant

The winners of the Russian President's Prize in Science and Innovation for Young scientists for 2022 showed brilliant results. This statement was made by the assistant to the President of the country Andrey Fursenko.

"There is a young tradition - at this forum we award prizes to young scientists. Let's welcome people who have received brilliant results in various fields of knowledge. The guys are from different places, from different fields of knowledge, but all of them are characterized by one thing - a very high level of work," Fursenko said at the award ceremony at the II Congress of Young Scientists.

The prize is awarded for a significant contribution to the development of domestic science, the development of samples of new equipment and technologies that ensure the innovative development of the economy and social sphere, as well as strengthening the country's defense capability. Its purpose is to stimulate further research and create favorable conditions for new scientific discoveries. The amount of each award is 5 million rubles.

This year it was awarded to: Alexandra Dubrovina from the Federal Scientific Center for Terrestrial Biota Biodiversity of East Asia of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences for the development of new approaches for the induction of RNA interference and directed regulation of plant genes; Arsen Kubryakov from the Federal Research Center "Marine Hydrophysical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences" for achievements in the study of the dynamics of oceanic processes and their impact on biological characteristics of marine ecosystems; Mikhail Konyukhov from the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Main Scientific Metrological Center" of the Russian Ministry of Defense for the development of a sample of new equipment that ensures the strengthening of the country's defense capability; Leonid Skripnikov from the St. Petersburg Institute of Nuclear Physics named after B. P. Konstantinov of the National Research Center "Kurchatov Institute" for a cycle of work on the development of the theory of the electronic structure of compounds of heavy elements to search for a new physics and research of the core structure.
