The tourist flow to Yamal may increase by almost 70% by 2030
By 2030, Yamalo-Nenets plans to achieve 70% growth in the tourist flow – up to 300 thousand people per year. According to the Yamal State Budgetary Institution "Agency for the Development of Regional Tourism", now about 180 thousand people visit the region in 12 months, writes TASS.
"In 2021, the number of tourists amounted to 177 thousand people, according to the monitoring of the Department of Youth Policy and Tourism. In 2022, more than 135 thousand tourists visited the region. By 2030, the number of tourists is expected to grow to more than 300 thousand, this is a forecast in accordance with the Strategy of socio-economic Development of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug until 2035," the agency quotes the interlocutor.
To do this, in 2023, it is planned to open a recreational complex "Harbeysky", with the rental of all-terrain vehicles for driving along the routes of the Polar Urals. While the number of rooms there allows you to take 70 people. And in 2026 they plan to launch a ski resort.
