Almost 100 million people from 87 regions took part in the events of the first year of the Decade of Science and Technology. The information is distributed by the press service of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

"More than 1 thousand events have been held. Almost 100 million people took part in them. The priority task is to popularize the activities of researchers and their achievements. There is a high demand for this information in society. The majority of our compatriots - more than 80% - trust the opinion of Russian scientists and are proud of Russian science. 83% of students plan to build a career in the scientific field — this is an excellent result of the first year of the Decade," Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy chairman of the Russian government, is quoted in the message. He spoke at the final meeting of the coordinating committee of the Decade of Science and Technology 2022 at the site of the II Congress of Young Scientists in Sirius Park.
