Tatarstan authorities plan to issue the first 100 thousand cards of a resident of the republic in early 2023. They will operate on the basis of the Mir payment system. This is reported by TASS with reference to the words of the head of the Ministry of Finance of Tatarstan Ayrat Khairullin.

"The first maps will be released in the first quarter of 2023. We expect that the first 100 thousand people will be able to take advantage of this offer, which will give the opportunity to use banking services and state, social services," the agency quotes Khairullin as saying. He also noted that the technical part is already ready.

According to him, at the first stage, the card of a resident of the republic will be virtual – in a smartphone. It will have full functionality - preferential transport services, school meals, library card, student ID, etc.
