About 80% of the sea oil exports from our country to Asia can be transported by the Russian fleet. This is reported by TASS with reference to the words of the leading analyst of Finam, Alexander Potavin.

As he told the agency, according to the calculations of the International Energy Agency, since May, the supply of tanker Russian oil to the United States, Great Britain and the EU countries has decreased by 2.2 million barrels per day, but two-thirds of this volume has been redirected to India, China and Turkey.

At the same time, as the expert said, the freight of tankers has more than doubled in price.

"According to our assessment, the Russian tanker fleet will be enough to ensure oil exports to Asia by sea by about 80% of the current volumes," TASS quotes the expert as saying. Russia has a fairly large fleet, in addition, the oil capacity of Sovcomflot is about 7 million tons.
