Russia has launched production of SU-35 aircraft for Egypt. Fighter planes are assembled in Komsomolsk-on-Amur at the Komsomolskiy Aviation Plant. The Gagarin aircraft factory in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. They will be exported to the Egyptian Air Force under a contract signed back in 2018.

According to the information from military and diplomatic sources the terms of sending the first batch of fighters have not been determined yet, due to the current epidemiological situation. Initially, the delivery was planned for 2020-2021.

According to President Vladimir Putin, Russian combat aviation is far superior to foreign counterparts, and Russia is able to produce the entire lineup of military and civil aircraft.

The deal between Russia and Egypt for the supply of fighter planes, as well as for the supply of aircraft destruction equipment, was reported back in March last year.

Experts estimate the amount of the contract at $2 billion.

For the first time SU-35 was exported to China under the 2015 contract. The delivery was completed in 2019, and its value was about 2.5 billion dollars for 24 aircraft.
