On May 20, 2020 at the Krasnoe Sormovo plant solemnly laid down a series of five KSP01 type crab fishing boats.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, the management staff of the plant, as well as the media representatives. The customer representatives were able to watch the ceremony online.

This is the first time in 170 years of the plant's history when the crab fishing boats are being manufactured.

According to the agreements singed between companies Alfa Trade, Karapax, Froster and Eta-Trade in the beginning of 2020 the vessels construction due to be finished in November 2024. The first ship to be delivered to the customer in 2023, and the remaining 4 in 2024.

The vessels are to be operated in different regions of the North Atlantic, including the Barents Sea, the Norwegian Sea, the Greenland Sea and the Arctic seas.
