An unauthorized landfill will be recultivated in the Akhtuba district of the Astrakhan region until the end of the coming year. They will do this thanks to the national project "Ecology". The information is published by the press service of the Regional Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services.

The territory of the landfill was divided into 18 map plots, which are gradually being reclaimed. Waste has already been removed from four zones, work is being completed on the fifth. In total, more than 210 thousand tons of waste were transported to the licensed landfill.

In parallel with the removal of waste, the contractor delivers sand, which is the underlying layer. In the future, fertile soil will also be laid on the dump body, which will be sown with low-growing vegetation.
