On June 2, online negotiations were held between Sergei Sinelnikov, Head of the Russian Trade Mission in Finland, and Ilkka Salonen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the East Office of Finnish Industries.
A number of issues on bilateral trade and economic relations were discussed during the meeting including cooperation in waste management, Finnish business wellbeing in Russia, the work of the Russian-Finnish Business Council and localization of the Finnish manufacturers in Russia.
According to Ilko Salonen, in the current epidemiological situation the Business Council becomes a basic platform for communications of the Russian and Finnish medium and large enterprises which want to find new directions of cooperation.
The Russian side expressed its readiness to continue promoting dialogue between the East Office of Finnish Industries and the Russian government.
