The first electric EcoVol vessel appeared in Russia.

The new transport is made entirely of Russian components and assemblies. It is absolutely environmentally friendly and cost-effective. The vessel does not produce vibrations, there is no diesel exhaust in the cabin or on the open deck.

The vehicle can carry 86 passengers.

As CEO Andrian Pravdin said, EcoVol can be used as a bunkering vessel, medical vessel or ferry.

However, first of all, this vessel is positioned as a touristic one. It has two decks. Especially for cruises, the ship is equipped with panoramic windows.

According to Mr. Pravdin, the main peculiarity is that the engine is actually placed over the ship body and that's why passengers during excursions will hear only wind and waves noise instead of motor works.

The developer of water transport was "Morsvyazavtomatika" company.

Solemn launch took place in St. Petersburg on Saturday. The event took place at the moorings of the city's river passenger port from where vessels traditionally depart on cruises.
