The first creative industries agency has been set up in the Russian capital. This was announced by Kirill Ilyichev, Deputy Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of Moscow.

He noted that the need to create such an organization has been felt quite urgently for a long time. According to him, the created agency will enable to unite efforts and talents of the brightest market representatives and eventually it will lead to a synergistic effect and significant international expansion.

The deputy head of the agency reminded that in Moscow there are about a hundred thousand creative organizations, which employ about half a million people.

The created agency will work to create an enabling environment for the industry development, to organize new jobs, to provide maximum support to companies in this sector and promote them in the international market.

"Moscow is ready to compete for the title of international centre of creative industries, which includes film companies, architectural firms, publishing holdings and companies involved in fashion, design, advertising, new media and computer games development. The agency has huge plans," Ilyichev said in conclusion.
