One of the country's largest pork producers, Promagro, began exporting its own products to Southeast Asia and the Customs Union.

The company managed to start working in this direction, including through the development of e-commerce.

In the first six months alone, the company produced 26.5 thousand tons of pork. The increase in sales for the same time was 30%. According to Promagro, the main points of growth were a network channel with products for end customers, e-commerce and deliveries to foreign markets.

Since July, the organization received permission to export its own meat products to Vietnam. In particular, the Asian country agreed to accept guarantees issued by Rosselkhoznadzor based on the results of Promagro's examination for compliance with the requested requirements.

In addition, the domestic company supplies pork to Hong Kong, Ukraine, Mongolia and a number of countries in the Customs and European Union.

Thanks to improved e-commerce, the company also sells meat to major supermarket chains. In the near future, Promagro intends to start selling pork through the Ozon electronic platform. At the same time, by the end of 2020 the meat producer plans to increase the number of its products in major retail chains, focusing on promotion for B2C (end buyer), thus increasing the share of products with high margins in the structure.

As the executive director of "Promagro" Vasily Popov said, the search for new outlets, including foreign, together with the development of digital technologies and the depth of processing of meat products may have a positive impact on the growth of sales share and profitability. In this regard, Popov stressed that the company intends to increase export supplies while continuing to provide the domestic market with natural high-quality products.
