Russian producers of dairy products have obtained the right to supply Japan.

This, as the Rosselkhoznadzor noted, took several years of work and negotiations with the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

However, now the Russian companies can supply not all dairy products to the Asian country, but only heat-treated ones.

To export these products, an appropriate certificate is required, but without additional certification of domestic producers by inspectors in Japan. Also, under the terms of the Japanese side, there is no need to enter suppliers from Russia in the register of importers.

It should be noted that our country provides itself with 84.4% of milk. The remaining part is covered by foreign products. In the total structure of foreign supplies, milk products account for 9% and cheese for 3.6%.

Despite this, milk production is increasing annually. For example, last year it was produced by 2.4% more compared to 2018.
