A new plant, which produces more than 50 types of feed for animals and birds, was launched in the Irkutsk village of Stolbova. This was reported by the press service of the administration of the Irkutsk region.

According to the acting head of the region Igor Kobzev, the opening of the new enterprise was a great contribution to the local economy. Now, as the head of the region noted, cattle breeders of the region will be provided with forage in a timely manner, which in turn will have a positive impact on the development of the agro-industrial complex.

Kobzev added that the regional government will begin issuing additional grants and investments into the agro-industrial complex in the future.

A total of 15 million rubles was invested in the creation of the new complex, of which 6 million rubles were provided by the Irkutsk Ministry of Agriculture as a grant support.

It is expected that the new complex will produce about 800 tons of mixed fodder every month, and in the future it will organize the processing of grain from local producers. If implemented, this will allow the feed to be sold outside the region and to other countries, especially Mongolia, China and Korea.
