The premiere of the innovative truck Mercedes-Benz Actros in Euro 6 version took place. The first truck came off the assembly line of in Naberezhnye Chelny.

The new tractor is made in Russia and meets all current localization requirements.

It is expected that with the release of this vehicle, Russian international hauliers will be able to use the Russian truck for foreign routes and at the same time they will not have to pay increased road toll for using vehicles under ecological class 5 and below.

In August, the new model should complete the certification procedures, and the launch of mass production is scheduled for November, said the head of The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

He recalled that a special investment contract was signed in spring 2018.

The new truck is equipped with a new generation Mercedes-Benz OM 471 engine with fuel injection system X-Pulse. To make it comply with environmental class 6, the combustion process and the exhaust gas neutralization system have been improved.

The main component of the system is a catalytic converter with selective catalytic reduction. It is capable of reducing the concentration of nitrogen oxides through AdBlue injection.

One of the most important components of the new technology is a diesel particulate filter, which is used to capture particulate matter in the exhaust gases. This means that emissions are significantly reduced compared to the previous environmental class. Thus, emissions of soot have been reduced by 66%, hydrocarbons by 72% and nitrogen oxides by 80%.

Earlier, it became known that in the first six months of this year, KAMAZ sold its own transport worth about 75 billion rubles. This figure is 15 per cent higher than for the same period in 2019. It was noted that the enterprise has sold almost 13 thousand trucks in our country, which was 9% higher than the plant had been laying down in its plan.
