Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the country was the first in the world to register a vaccine against coronavirus. He said the vaccine was registered on Tuesday morning, August 11.

The President confessed that one of his daughters became a participant in the tests and had already received the vaccine. The head of state shared that after the first shot his daughter's temperature rose to 38 degrees, and the next day she had already slept up to 37 with a small one.

After the second vaccine the temperature also slightly increased, but then it fully returned to normal and now she is feeling well. Putin also noticed that many people who participated in the trials had no external manifestations or fever after the vaccine. The country's leader expressed hope that in the near future the mass production of this vaccine will start, so that those who want to voluntarily adopt it as well.

Health Minister MIkhail Murashko said that the Gamalei Centre and the Binnopharm company are going to produce the vaccine.According to him, technical regulations are currently being worked out, which will make it possible to scale production at the sites of several Russian representatives.

Earlier Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that there are glimmers of hope in the fight against the coronovirus pandemic, despite the fact that around 20 million people worldwide were infected with the disease and the number of deaths is approaching 750 thousand.

According to him, it is real to reverse the outbreak and it does not depend on the location of a country, region, city or village, as stressed by Ghebreyesus.
