It is planned to create a network of regional congress bureaus in Russia, which will become a platform for the effective promotion of the country's entities on international and domestic markets. It will also contribute to economic development through the attraction of business events, improve business tourism and improve the quality of services provided by local companies, the website of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives informs.

This project is being implemented under the auspices of the National Congress Bureau.

It is noted that the regional congress bureau is a non-profit marketing organisation. Its tasks include promoting the region in event markets in Russia and abroad, attracting events and controlling their quality, as well as consolidating and coordinating market players.

The establishment of an office at the city or regional level will depend on the strategy and level of development of the entity itself.

It is not excluded that a congress bureau will be set up to coordinate the promotion of several regions at the same time.

The creation of a network of such bureaus will take place in several stages, the first of which will be organised by the congress bureau in the subjects where there is a high level of event potential.
