Exoskeletons for workers were created in Russia

A subsidiary of state corporation Rostec has created a modular industrial exoskeleton complex. The new equipment will protect workers during serious physical exertion.

Such complex will be used to optimize production processes. It is expected that after introduction of the exoskeleton, productivity at enterprises that use physical labor will increase by 2 times.

Thanks to the equipment, it will be possible to perform a wide range of operations. The complex itself includes 30 integrable parts, with the modular design allowing to select certain elements to meet the specific needs of the production process, Rostec said.

According to the mass media, the price for the complex modules will start from 30 thousand rubles.

It is noted that if the complex is used as a personal protective equipment, it doesn't require time to implement it, as it is just enough to put it on. As the developer company points out, it is cheaper and faster compared to buying, setting up and then maintaining expensive industrial robotics. Besides, according to the creators, the complex is more efficient than existing means of mechanization and individual protection.

Maxim Skokov, Deputy General Director for Special Projects at Rostec - Trusted Platforms Robotics Complexes, said that the company expects the domestic market for industrial exoskeletons to reach 12 billion rubles in the near future.

They will be put into mass production next year.
