Russia has changed the conditions for calculating a preferential short-term credit for Russian companies in the oil and fats industry.

According to the country's Ministry of Agriculture, the amount of the preferential credit is determined by the planned volume of goods to be supplied outside the Russian Federation in ruble terms.

An order issued by the ministry this month stipulates that the said amount shall only be twice the amount of the requested funds, while for the other sub-sectors this ratio shall not be less than one to four.

The changes affect the companies participating in the program for enhancing the competitiveness within the framework of the federal project "Export of products of the agro-industrial complex". Thus, the authorities are planning to attract additional credit resources to the fat-and-oil industry.

It should be reminded that in the current season, the Ministry of Agriculture intends to receive about 13 million tons of sunflower. This amount will meet the domestic demand.
