The share of mayonnaise production accounted for by Russia exceeded 17%. According to Agroexport under the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, this has enabled the country to become the world's second largest producer of this product.

First in the top producers are the United States, which accounts for more than 19% of world mayonnaise production.

The countries that are in the top ten produce 63% of this sauce.

Last year, 3.7 million tons of such products worth $9.6 billion were produced worldwide, an increase of 1.1% compared to 2018.

Russia has produced about 750,000-780,000 tonnes for the past 5 years. This year, however, output has increased by almost 2% in the first six months.

Own-produced products are also supplied to foreign markets. In this case, Russia is one of the twenty mayonnaise exporting countries, which accounts for almost 12% of the market. Last year, Russian suppliers earned nearly 130 million dollars on sales to other countries. In particular, the sauce from Russia is supplied to Kazakhstan, Belarus and Azerbaijan.
