Yakutia will cooperate with Korea in science-intensive technologies

The North-Eastern Federal University in Yakutia and the Korean Institute of Ceramic Engineering and Technology will cooperate in science-intensive technologies. The Made in Russia project was told about it by the Yakutia Press Center in Moscow.

Thus, the two universities signed a memorandum of understanding. Now, the educational institutions will share information, staff and trainee students.

Besides, the parties will provide mutual technical support, cooperate in scientific research and implement joint projects within the signed document.

It should be noted that this Korean university is the only research institute in Korea with a wide field of activities in materials science. It also grows monocrystals.

Presently, the Yakutian university also cooperates with other foreign universities - Inha University and Gangneung-Wonju National University. Professors from these educational institutions will co-supervise master's students while they are writing their dissertations.

The first admission to the international program "Convergence" was held last year in three separate areas - natural-technical, economic, humanitarian and culture of the peoples of the North-East of Russia.

As part of the training, master's students undergo industrial and pre-graduation practice in Korean and Yakut scientific laboratories and companies.

The courses are taught by leading experts and professors from central institutes in Russia, South Korea, France, and the United States.
