Rosstat has recorded a significant increase in the price of products in the country, for example, sugar rose in price by 6% on average across the country, and in some regions the growth exceeded this figure. In Stavropol Krai, for instance, the price of sugar rose by nearly 14%.

In addition, in Russia, the price of sunflower oil went up by approximately 2%; however, in 19 regions the growth was more than 2.5%, and in Chechnya - 9.2%. At the same time, in Kursk Oblast the price of oil went down by 0.6%.

The cost of eggs has gone up by 1.4%, buckwheat - by 0.6%, wheat flour - 0.4%. The price of cooked sausage, frozen fish, canned meat for baby food, sour cream and vermicelli has gone up by 0.3%. Also, the price of pasteurized milk, bread and rice has gone up by 0.2%.

At the same time, a number of vegetables and fruits, such as carrots (2%) and apples (1.9%) declined slightly. The cost of tomatoes and cucumbers, for which the season is nearly over, rose by 0.8% and 0.4%, respectively.
