LED-Effect, a producer of energy efficient LED lighting, participated in the lighting of mini football pitches at the Nuevo Kampo sports and leisure center in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Nuevo Kampo is a sports and leisure center in Cyprus that offers training facilities and soccer fields of different sizes to the public. At Nuevo Kampo it is also possible to rent a pitch and hold corporate or friendly tournaments until late at night, as all fields are illuminated by powerful floodlights.

"The KEDR (300W) and KEDR 2.0 (270W) series of lights were chosen to illuminate the fields, equipped with a bracket with adjustable angle. According to the lighting design, all luminaires were distributed on poles with an indication of their targeting on a particular area of the field. For ease of further maintenance of lighting fixtures, all power sources were taken out into remote cabinets - VIP (remote power supply) and located on lighting poles", - explained the company's representative.

He specified that the lamps KEDR SBU used concentrating optics firm LEDIL - a wide range of secondary optics allows you to configure the lights to perform effectively at any site. KEDR 2.0 luminaires use optics of its own making, which forms the KCC - "G".

At the end of the project, illumination of football fields amounted to 273 lux with the norm of open sports fields up to 500 spectators - 300 lux, and lighting uniformity index was 0.7 while the norm is 0.5-0.7.
