In the first six months Russia exported 1.3 million tonnes of aluminium and aluminium products worth 2.4 billion roubles. In quantitative terms, this is 37.9% lower than in the first half of last year and 39.6% lower in value terms.

This year, Russia has sold aluminum products and the metal itself to 107 countries, but the main customers were Turkey, the Netherlands, the US and Japan.

This year the volume of trade in this commodity increased between Russia and Turkey. The decrease was recorded in supplies to the Netherlands, the USA and Japan.

Sales of unprocessed aluminium decreased by almost 43% in physical terms and by more than 46% in monetary terms. Russia has shipped about 4% less aluminum wire to foreign markets this year compared to 2019. Also, exports of aluminum bars and profiles fell by 2.4%.

Alone in 2020, exports of aluminium plates, sheets, strips and strips over 0.2mm thick increased by almost 6% outside the country.
