Action to promote domestic products was held on the Chinese e-commerce platform Taobao and in the account of the main Chinese TV channel in the social network Weibo.
The event was attended by five Russian companies - Vologda ice cream manufacturer Iceberry, confectionery company KDV, manufacturers of toothpaste and care products Splat, LibreDerm (cosmetics) and hair dyes Fara. Each of the brands presented one product at this site.
All the stock of goods that were presented were bought out in 30 minutes, some of them were sold out even faster. The total volume of sales was 1.8 million dollars.
The goods from the Russian Federation were presented by the popular blogger Viya in China, the audience on her Taobao-channel is about 37 million people, and CCTV host. The main condition for the Russian company's participation in the campaign, which was held during prime time, was the presence of a flagship store on the Tmall platform.
Russia was the first country whose products were presented during the European Production Day on Tmall platform. This was followed by France, Spain and Germany. The audience continued to ask about the availability of Russian products after the presentation of products from other countries began.
All Russian stream was watched by over 38 million people.
