The Zabaikalsky Krai has created a digital forest map designed for potential investors. The region will start to fully use this digital platform by the end of 2020.

As it follows from the message on the website of the regional government, the platform was demonstrated to the authorized representative of the president in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev.

The Deputy Chairman of the local government Mikhail Churkin said that Peuru rus and Roslesinforg have analyzed 2 million hectares of forest in the center and in the south-west of the region and prepared a report on cost-effective production methods based on regional forests.

Till November 10, according to him, the program is being tested by Roslesinforg, and by the end of the year Zabaikalsky Krai will be able to fully apply this platform.

The service includes 4 main blocks, namely an interactive map with current information about available forest resources, an electronic trading platform for the distribution of rights to use the forest areas through an auction, an electronic exchange of goods and services, as well as digital passport.

The day before the government of the region announced that thanks to the electronic map each investor will have the opportunity to choose the forest area of interest and send to the authorized body an application for the provision of land for use.
