Rosatom State Corporation together with Sirius University arranged a master class on reinforced plastics for students.

So, during 1,5 weeks the students learned the basic theory on the types of composites, technologies of their production and different types of testing.

As the practical part of the training 15 video-lessons were shot for the students. They contain the step-by-step instructions how to make the products from the drawing to testing and detailed description of modeling in the programs as well as further making, processing and testing. For example, a model of a motorcyclist's backpack that protects the driver while maintaining the functionality of the design was worked through.

Teachers also held a master class on the principles of SolidWorks software.

It should be noted that reinforced polymers are used in the construction of aircraft, spacecraft, ships and cars. They are also used in medicine, sports and wind energy. For instance they are used for production of jet engines, brake pads and disks of aircraft brakes and prostheses.
