Construction of a super trawler commissioned by the Russian Federation was completed in Istanbul
An acceptance ceremony was held for the super trawler Vladimir Limanov. The vessel was built by a Turkish shipyard for the Russian Fishing Company (RRPC).
The trawler was laid down in January last year. Russian Admiralty Shipyards are building ten similar ships.
According to Gleb Frank, the representative of the RRIC board of directors, after the commissioning of the first super trawler, the company is to enter a new stage of efficiency increase. Modern technologies will make it possible to increase safety and environmental friendliness of fishing and provide careful treatment of biological resources.
Annual catch on the vessel will exceed 60 thousand tons of fish. The features of the trawler include the full cycle of onboard processing, catching of pelagic and benthic fish species and production of frozen products at sea.
The vessel will start fishing early next year.
