United Engine Company (UEC) announced the completion of delivery of the first marine diesel-gas turbine unit M55R for the frigate Admiral Isakov.

The element is fully assembled at the domestic plant. It was produced within the framework of the program of import substitution of Ukrainian power plants, which were supplied to the Russian Federation until 2014.

Ships of Project 22350, for which the unit is manufactured, are considered to be among the most modern ones in the national navy (Navy). It now includes the Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov and the Admiral of the Fleet Kasatonov. Two more frigates will be added to the fleet within three years.

Last year, the United Shipbuilding Corporation announced that the demand for engines for navy ships has been terminated. From now on, Project 22350 ships will be equipped exclusively with Russian gas-turbine marine diesel engines.
