The Ministry of Industry and Trade launched a new system for evaluating the activities of trade missions
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has launched a system for evaluating the effectiveness of Russia's trade representations abroad.
A special evaluation methodology was developed by representatives of the ministry together with experts and businessmen.
This is done to "digitize" the operational activities of trade missions through specific indicators, to evaluate their achievements and create the basis for effective planning, said Deputy Head of the Ministry Alexei Gruzdev. In addition, the measures will make it possible to replicate best practices.
The comprehensive evaluation system includes six indicators, based on 13 criteria, such as volumes of supported non-energy exports and investments, efficiency of business mission organization, information activity, etc.
The final assessment also takes into account the results of surveys of "clients" of trade missions. According to Gruzdev, this format will give an opportunity to take into account the opinion of everyone who interacts with trade missions.
The first report will be prepared on the basis of the new system by the end of 2020.
