Rusmolco doubled the turnover of its grain elevator in the Penza region

Rusmolko, a leading producer of raw milk in the Penza Region, has doubled the turnover of its own elevator compared to 2019. It is currently known that the company's cargo turnover in 2020 exceeded 310 thousand tonnes.

Rusmolco is a subsidiary of Singapore's Olam International Limited.

This year, it has received over 180 tons of various crops and shipped 130 tons. The cargo turnover exceeded 310 thousand tons. On average, the elevator received 2.3 thousand tons daily, and the peak load was 4 thousand tons per day.

The growth is due to several factors, one of the most important being the flexibility in handling different crops, including wheat, barley, corn, soybeans, sunflower and rapeseed. This essentially means that the elevator's capacity can accept any crop production.

In addition, an important role in the development has played its own railway branch line and the ability to ship products by rail. The average shipment speed was 12 cars per day. During the season, the company shipped a total of almost one thousand cars of crop products. At the same time in 2020 the company for the first time sent "route trains" in the direction of the Black Sea ports. This made it possible to significantly reduce the time of cargo delivery to the destination station.

Rusmolko launched the elevator in the Pachelma district of the Penza region three years ago. At one time 100 thousand tons can be stored here.
