Bolivia has signed a contract with Russia for the purchase of Sputnik V, a new type of coronavirus drug.

This announcement was made by the head of Bolivia, Luis Arce, during the broadcast, which was carried out on the President's Facebook page.

Bolivia will buy a total of 5.2 million doses of the Russian vaccine.

Russia is the first in the world to register a vaccine against coronovirus, which was developed by the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology together with the Russian Direct Investment Fund. The drug was named Sputnik V.
