The number of SMEs in the Orenburg region grew by 25% over the year

The Orenburg Centre for Entrepreneurship Support and Export Development provided services to 700 representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in the region last year. This is 25% more than in 2019, said Denis Goncharov, the region's minister of economic development.

In total, these enterprises received about 1.4 thousand services in the field of state support for export activities, said the head of the department.

Export seminars and webinars were the most popular with entrepreneurs, which were attended by more than 1 thousand SMEs. Consultations on legal aspects of export activities were held more than a hundred times, TASS writes.

Due to the cancellation of congresses and exhibitions, which were used by entrepreneurs as a tool to promote their goods, the center had to transform this activity - to start placing regional exporters on international electronic trading platforms, translations and creation of websites in foreign languages.

In total, last year, thanks to the support of the Center, 16 regional enterprises managed to enter international electronic trading platforms. Among them is Holty-Retail, a manufacturer of natural wool and cotton products, which is now represented on Amazon. In the first month the products of the Orenburg company have been ordered by 100 people from other countries.
