KAMAZ intends to export passenger vehicles

KAMAZ plans to supply its passenger vehicles to Europe. The company intends to pass all the necessary certification already this year.

The automotive giant intends to actively develop the passenger transport segment. Now the strategy of KAMAZ is focused on creation of a universal modular platform, which is already in the process of development, said General Director of KAMAZ Sergey Kogogin. He explained that the company is going to develop a full range of buses and electric buses from 9 to 18 metres with a new body and with better characteristics, as it is the only way to establish exports to Europe.

According to him, KAMAZ is not yet ready for European certification, but the company is planning to have its design brought up to the European standards as soon as this year.

Potential European consumers are already familiar with the innovative vehicles of the Kamsky Automobile Plant. For instance, the Russian electric bus was first presented in Europe in 2019 at the global summit of the International Union of Public Transport in Stockholm. Then it aroused interest among foreign specialists and passenger transport operators.

The KAMAZ electric bus is distinguished by its eco-friendliness, spacious interior, economical use, quietness and ultra-fast charging.

In addition, in 2019, the electric bus was presented to foreign experts at the International Summit of Leaders in Urban Transport Development.
