Russia donated a flu vaccine to Venezuela.

The manufacturer of the drug is the St. Petersburg Research Institute of Vaccines and Sera of FMBA of Russia and the Latin American Institute of Biotechnology Mechnikov.

The vaccine is sent to Venezuela every year by order of the Russian President.

For the 2020-2021 season, the St. Petersburg Institute produced three million doses of influenza vaccine, the Made in Russia project was told by the institution's press service.

The vaccine was produced at the end of last year and sent to Nicaragua for the final stages of production (bottling, packaging) and further transfer to the Venezuelan side.

The Russian president ordered the institute to produce 5 million doses of the vaccine for Venezuela next season.
