The first Russian computer was assembled in the Moscow region

Depo Computers produced in Krasnogorsk near Moscow the first electronic computer (ECM) of Russian assembly on a domestic server with an Elbrus processor.

Now the enterprise intends to develop this area, put it into commercial operation and transfer state customers exclusively to Russian hardware, which meets the requirements of technological sovereignty and import-independence.

Annually more than 25 thousand server systems and 320 thousand computer systems will be produced here. At the moment the company is preparing a model range of servers and data storage systems based on processors of "Elbrus" and "Baikal" families.

According to the plans, mass production will start in the second half of this year.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has subsidized Depot Computers for 2.5 billion rubles. "This is for five years for four projects to develop our devices on Russian processors," said Dmitry Cherkasov, the company's CEO.

In the future, they will also create servers, power supplies, switches and control consoles here.
