KAMAZ's engine plant has produced the first thousand in-line 6-cylinder engines of the 910 model (Euro-5), according to the enterprise's website.

The project to develop such engines with a capacity of 12 litres was launched at KAMAZ seven years ago. Serial production of P6 model 910 engines for long-haul tractors started in 2019; now the company produces 6-cylinder power units with 450 and 550 horsepower for long-haul, transport, all-wheel-drive and heavy K5 generation vehicles.

Units are presented with manual and automatic transmissions. At the moment the plant is developing different modifications of the engine.

In order to implement the second stage of the project and increase the output of the inline engines up to 30 thousand units a year, it is necessary to increase the assembly line from 64 to 90 meters - then the process will be significantly automated through the growth of the number of operating stations.
