Kaliningrad Automobile Plant Avtotor has expanded its range of special vehicles: now the company has started producing sliding wreckers based on Hyundai Mighty EX9.

The new vehicle has an increased loading length of the platform of 5.6 meters and a payload of 3.6 tonnes. GVW is 9.5 tonnes.

Model Hyundai Mighty is produced on a full cycle - from welding and painting cab to the assembly - since the end of last year. To this end, the company began work on a new welding line of cabins with upgraded equipment. It is about modern machines with programmed control, which allows additional control over welding quality and accuracy of operations.

During the painting process the Avtotor plant coats the truck cabs with an additional anti-corrosion layer.

In addition to phosphating and kataphoresis coating, the truck cabin is covered with a secondary primer, which helps to protect against mechanical damage. The secondary primer is applied in two layers and then dried at high temperature. Only then are the truck cabs sent for final painting.

Such methods significantly increase anti-corrosion properties of vehicles and improve their performance in the Russian climate.

At Avtotor commercial vehicles are equipped with various universal and specialized add-ons, for example, recently the plant started making mobile medical complexes - an X-ray room and a mobile dental clinic.
