A linseed oil production plant for 1.6 billion rubles, which will be the largest in the world, is being built in the Rostov region, according to the press service of the governor of the region.

The capacity of the enterprise will be 450 tons per day, and there are plans to create a storage facility for 30 thousand tons of flax seeds in the future. The plant is expected to process 160 thousand tons of raw materials annually.

Belgian Vandeputte Huilerie company, the leading European player in this segment, participates in the construction of the plant.

The first production has already started at the plant being under construction now, and when all the works are completed, it will become the world's largest enterprise where linseed oil is produced.
