KAMAZ presented two new trucks at the Innoprom international industrial exhibition in Uzbekistan. It is about the KAMAZ-54901 truck tractor and the KAMAZ-5490 NEO gas-diesel truck tractor.
KAMAZ-54901 was created for long-haul transportation and the truck is the first model of the new range of K5 generation trucks. The vehicle is equipped with a brand new cabin with a completely flat floor and two sleeping berths. The driving position of the truck is similar to a passenger car.
The tractor has an inline 6-cylinder engine with an output of 450 hp, it is equipped with an automatic 12-speed ZF gearbox with enhanced functions for driver and the rear axle with a reduced gear ratio for fuel economy. In addition, the novelty has two fuel tanks with a total volume of 1400 liters.
The second hauler, which was presented at the exhibition, is a modification of KAMAZ-5490 and runs on a mix of diesel fuel and methane. The new gas-diesel vehicle can run on a blend of diesel fuel with methane, or only on diesel fuel.
The vehicle is also equipped with a convenient cabin for long trips. The car owner can save up to half a million rubles at the average annual mileage of 185 thousand kilometers due to the low price for methane.
The exhibition is held to give manufacturers an opportunity to enter the market of Uzbekistan and Central Asia. Sergey Kogogin, Director General of KAMAZ, took part in the business programme of the event.
More than a hundred companies from Russia, Uzbekistan, China, Germany, Korea, Italy, Japan and other countries demonstrated their products.
