In the Krasnodar region summed up the competition for the quality standard - the sign "Made in Kuban" received more than 250 products, said the regional department of consumer sphere and regulation of the alcohol market.

Head of the department Roman Kurinny said, 311 applications from 114 organizations from 31 municipalities of the region were submitted for the seventh contest.

Companies competed in the quality and safety of their goods, and also proved the relevance and uniqueness of production.

Winners were chosen in three categories: food and nonfoods and industrial and technical goods. As a result a competitive commission selected 256 products 99 regional producers. Winners will be awarded diplomas with the right to use the mark "Made in Kuban" for two years.

Vice-governor Alexander Ruppel emphasized that "Made in Kuban" sign protects the buyers from low-quality products, and gives companies a more favorable working environment: the opportunity to use the reduced interest rates on loans, free promotion at exhibitions and increased visibility.

To date, 925 products from 246 manufacturers in the Krasnodar Region have already been awarded the quality label.
