Vegetable growers of the Stavropol Territory were able to recover 54% of their costs from the subsidies received. This was reported in the information policy department of the regional government apparatus.

"In 2021, Stavropol vegetable growers received 117.9 million rubles in subsidies. Thanks to these support measures, it was possible to compensate up to 54% of the costs of agrarians. For comparison, last year the share of cost reimbursement was 40%, and in 2019 - 22%", - said First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the region Sergey Izmalkov, whose words are quoted by the press service.

Thanks to the subsidies, farmers can expand their projects and upgrade equipment. So, according to the region's authorities, in 2020, agrarians managed to harvest more than 147 thousand tons of open field vegetables from an area of more than 10.6 thousand hectares, which is 3% higher than the level of 2019. This year, 11 thousand hectares of vegetable crops are expected to be planted in the Stavropol Territory, in particular potatoes, onions, tomatoes and cabbage.
