More than 1 billion roubles will be invested in Russia to create detailed development plans for territories with high tourist potential. An order to this effect was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

"At the first stage, three territories will be planned - the Crimean peninsula, including Sevastopol, the Far East and regions included in the Golden Ring of Russia", - according to the government website.

The development plans are called tourist territorial projects. They will include an assessment of resources and potential of each region, proposals for zoning of territories, expansion of hotel facilities and modeling of tourist flows. In addition, they will include concepts of transport and engineering support, ideas related to territorial branding.

"The plans will become a conceptual basis for the development of tourist areas. Amendments to documents on territorial planning will be made on their basis, the interaction of regional and federal authorities will be aimed at further development of tourist potential", - the department claimed.
