Russia will allocate 5.26 billion rubles until 2024 to develop projects in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
The document published on the government website approves the rules for granting such subsidies.
They will be distributed based on the results of a competitive selection process. The money can be used for purchase of software and equipment, payment of services of programmers, rent of office premises, maintenance of workplaces and other purposes.
The maximum grant per recipient should not exceed 100 million rubles.
The government is also working on the creation of rules for subsidizing activities in which schoolchildren and students will develop their own projects in the field of AI.
Under the state program, school students will be able to receive expert and mentor support to bring their projects to the market.
The document also stipulates the funding of specialized additional education. A total of 1.23 billion rubles has been allocated for this purpose.
The measures adopted will help stimulate the digital transformation of the economy and will become a driver of the country's social and economic development, the Cabinet of Ministers believes.
