Russian hypermarket Utkonos will "distribute" food on vending machines
Online hypermarket Utkonos plans to sell ready-made meals through vending machines. This was reported by Vedomosti with reference to the company's development director Mikhail Chasovnikov.
At the first stage the company will install eight such machines in business centers and apartment complexes in Moscow. If the experiment proves successful, "Utkonos" management plans to increase the network to 100 points and more.
As noted in the publication, today a similar format of sales through vending machines poorly developed in Russia's major retailers. Now only "Vkusvill" and "Azbuka vkusa" have them.
