Swedish retailer H&M Group will expand its presence on the Russian market and will launch its eco-brand of clothing and accessories Arket in autumn. There will also be a café with vegetarian meals, baked goods and drinks in the store.
The company will produce goods in Russia from raw materials that have been obtained in an environmentally friendly and climate-neutral way, according to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Arket's products are currently available in Europe. According to the results of the last year 76% of clothing, accessories and home textiles of the same company were made from environmentally friendly materials. The brand has set a goal to reach 100% by 2030.
Since last fall, the brand's range has been available on the H&M online store, but now Arket has announced its intention to open its first store in the Russian Federation in the autumn.
"We are delighted to announce the expansion of our physical presence and the opening of Arket's first store in Russia. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet our customers in Russia live, as well as introduce new customers to responsible fashion, modern interiors and Swedish vegetarian cuisine," said Arket managing director Pernilla Wolfart.
The brand's clothing, footwear and accessories for men, women and children, as well as cosmetics and homeware, are included in the brand's lineup.
