A delegation from the UAE Ministry of Food and Water Security visited Agrosila's enterprises in order to study the experience of halal production. During the visit, the foreign colleagues were particularly interested in the products of Zainsk Sugar (belonging to the holding company), Agrosila's press service told the Made in Russia project.

The head of the department from the UAE was told about the specifics of creating halal products, development of investment projects, modernization of enterprises and, in general, about how the chain "field - counter" is implemented.

"In our work we bring the quality of each product to the benchmark, observe the norms of lean production and strive for a common goal, introducing innovative technologies into production processes. Together, this allows us to continuously improve product quality, minimize costs and provide competitive pricing," said Agrosila CEO Svetlana Barsukova.

It is this approach that has enabled the holding to become one of the largest producers of halal products and be among the top five sugar producers. Besides, the holding ranks among top 20 largest landowners in the country and top 10 in poultry farming, she added.

Annually Agrosila produces 124 thousand tons of poultry meat, 1.2 million tons of sugar beets, 560 thousand tons of leguminous crops. The revenue of the holding now amounts to 680 million dollars.

This year and the next year the company is going to finish the reconstruction of Naberezhnye Chelny elevator ($5.9 million investment), start the cheese production ($18.8 million), poultry meat semi-finished products ($4.5 million) and commission the complex for 4.5 thousand dairy cattle ($21 million). Apart from that, the sugar refinery and the production of fertilizers from chicken manure will be modernized.

The holding agrarians annually harvest 330 thousand tons of cereals from the fields, produce 290 thousand tons of mixed fodder, which is supplied to farms, and about a hundred thousand tons of raw poultry meat.
