Russia increased agribusiness exports to Norway by 60%

The export of Russian agro-industrial complex (AIC) goods to Norway increased by 60% in 20201.

According to the Federal Center for Agribusiness Export Development, Russia exported 155 thousand tons of products to Norway in the first quarter of this year. That is 73% more than in the same period in 2020, and the money supply increased by 60% to $153 million.

Norway became the second buyer of Russian rapeseed oil after China - this year it accounted for 62 thousand tons of the product worth $59 million.

Growth was also recorded in the export of meal and cake - in 2,2 times to 34 thousand tons in physical terms and 3,7 times to 23 million dollars in money terms.

Also, Norway continues to actively purchase fish products. Export of frozen fish in January-April grew to 11 thousand tons to the amount of 31 million dollars.

In addition, the Kingdom was the largest importer of wheat gluten from Russia and bought 10 thousand tons in the amount of 15 million dollars. That's why more than 60% of all Russian wheat gluten export went to Norway.
